[Open Exhibition] OC Twin Dancing Comb Jellyfish
Comb jellyfish are strong candidates for being the first "animals" that appeared on Earth along with the ocean surface.
The definition of an animal requires various conditions such as being multicellular, heterotrophic, having nerves and senses, and being motile, but this time I decided to focus on the concept of motility and interpret it as an occupation, dancing, where movement is an ability.
Comb jellyfish have the property that if two injured individuals are stuck together, their unique regenerative powers will combine the nerves and organs into one individual.
To represent the connection between the two individuals, I designed it with hairs made of transparent tissue stuck to each other.
I used colors similar to the iridescent light-emitting organs on an overall transparent white background.
