Since the artist left the watermark over an empty part of the image, would it be wrong to embed a note to color it out? I already wrote something that should work, if anyone feels that's an appropriate use of it.

I don't think it would look good for us if people noticed we were doing something like that. Hiding it with notes isn't all that much better than directly editing it out.
