Thought it would be neat if the undershirt was Chinese-style too. Complete headcanon.I picture it as a very soft, fluffy, heavy materialTunic and shirt together have 2 layers of frills.3 layers looked too voluminous next to Komachi, so I took one out.The so-called "ZUN hat" is relatively easy to draw. Although it can get tricky depending on the angle...The ribbons aren't on her sidelocks, but the hair next to her ears or so.Bangs flow to the rightLight purple. Black would've looked too intense when she raises it to her face...Laced boots are a personal preference (I draw them a lot).
I like big, sturdy boots!The way she came to lecture Komachi was unusually straightforward. Maybe the situation was too urgent for her to act more roundabout.
She has connections to Eiki as well as Kasen, and doesn't seem to get along with either, so I wanted to draw them together more...No changes to the patterns or anything. Just drew them the way I saw in the references...It was actually fun drawing her next to fellow tabard-wearer Kasen (ch. 6) and trying to make it aaaaas clearly a fanwork as possible.I debated whether I should draw her with her hair down or tied up, but decided to go with this to avoid the risk of her not being recognized.
