I bought the PSP remake of "Tactics Ogre: Let Us Cling Together" on the 26th of February. I've finally managed to put the game down only yesterday. For 5 solid months, I've been engrossed and addicted to the conflicts and political scheming on the kingdom of Valeria, racking up a playtime of 200+ hours.

After finally putting my PSP down, I decided to draw at least one pic of one of my favourite characters...and soooo......

Here's a pic of Deneb Rove, the sultry Wicce.

I managed to get my hands on the Tactics Ogre Artbook, and used the illustrations as a basis to draw her. Strangely, there are conflicting pictures of her design: one shows her with gloves, the other shows her with full-arm-length-glove-thingies. I chose the full-arm-length-glove-thingies.

Gave her a pipe, cos she (apparently) smokes, ESPECIALLY while at work.

Also made her sit on a Pumpkin, because it seemed to suit her character well.

I went through several ideas for the background, which ranged from the interior of her shop, to having summoning pentagrams and magic emnating from her. But I quite like simple backgrounds, so I just kept it white.

Deneb is a real pain to recruit, which can easily take up several hours of repeated grinding and fighting. BUT when you finally get to recruit her, it's well worth the trouble, especially if you manage to recruit her as a Wicce, as her "Magic Time!" move super buffs all her spells and can (and will) one-shot large groups of bad guys.

Plus a amusing little tune plays whenever you use it.

But the main reason why I like her, is because she's possibly the only light-hearted and funny character in the entire game. Tactics Ogre: LUCT goes to some REALLY dark places, and it's just refreshing to suddenly have a character with a bit of humour and sass.
