This was a commissioned artwork that Glenn Andrean did for me. He asked that his work be watermarked before being published to the web, and I complied. I will continue to respect his wishes, so that he will continue to draw awesome artwork for me. Besides, I want him to get name recognition for his skills.
Nekotaku, Why not make the watermark less obtrusive? His drawings are good but the watermark really kills the whole picture. Some people don't even download his pictures because of the watermark. Why not make it smaller and more pretty? Look at Tony or other great artist watermarks. They enhance their artist picture, not detract from it. i think if you change the watermark, more people will recognise his work for the better as you are hurting him with the big ugly watermark.
Be grateful I don't do that. If I made the watermark much smaller, it WOULD get cropped/edited out, and the image posted on paysites without attribution, which is what both Glenn and I want to avoid. The fact that this Nanoha pic is still pretty popular indicates that I've probably got it about right.
If you want the full, unwatermarked version, wait for the artbook collection of Glenn's art which I'm putting together.
