I'm still wondering where she got all here clothes. Did she keep picking up bits of clothing from when people ran away?

Weird thing here is how she build her identity as a human. I thought human (if Meiling can be considered as one) raised in wilderness with limited chance of social interaction is prone to be wild and feral..

I guess we'll just have to chock it up to "mystic youkai stuff, don't gotta 'splain shit".

Doesn’t seems like she’s “raised” from the first page though.

It’s more like she’s born as an adult with all her main personality and self-awareness probably mixed in with the force of nature that created her.

Then she saw human and realized their appearance is alike.

I think this is one of the points where we shrug off and say: "A wizard did it, lol".

Case in point: Where do lowly youkai and freaking faeries get the intrincate, gothic-lolita clothes they wear? With faeries you could say it's just glamour, but who clothes Mystia and Rumia? That's a pre-industrial society, where clothing is custom made.

well, basically eastern youkai are somehow a personification of different natural forces mixed with the massive spiritual blur of human collective subconsciousness, if we look into the old Japanese folklore. human-like existences being clothed has been considered natural for humans since primitive civilization, so we can just expect youkais, which are materialized and human-shaped fantasies, to somehow obtain and wear any sort of clothes that appear appropriate, regardless of the availability of that sort of clothes in the era.

So we may consider it to be like, a youkai born in the subconscious aether surrounding the world got somehow spitted onto the materialistic side of the world, and somehow got dressed by that aether that created it, just because that the collective human subconsciousness considered that "this is the way it should be"

then we can explain why youkai always come dressed, and this should also apply to other youkai related questions, I suppose.

Well, youkai are quite varied, you know.
And I learned how to read them from a rare person who didn't run away when they saw me.
    Why not?
    Hehe, thanks.
There were times when I thought I'd make friends, but it didn't go well.
    Huuh?
    Nope.
They're not all like me... In fact, most of them aren't.
    I named myself.
    Yes.
Didn't you have any youkai friends?
You've heard that from your mom and dad, right?
So who gave you your name?
    "Yourself"?
I don't have any. Youkai aren't born like that.
What about your mom and dad, Meirin-chan?
I picked out some suitable symbols from a book dropped by someone who ran away from me.
But you're not scary at all, Meirin-chan! When the children say her name, it's written in phonetic kana rather than kanji, which suggests that they're not quite pronouncing it correctly ("ling" isn't a syllable native to Japanese, after all).
