I do not understand why people would be upset about an expiration date. It is a statistical guideline that does not take into consideration the specific storage environment of the product. I frequently eat things well past expiration, sometimes years later.

It's okay with canned food, but try that with some fish, and you'll end up like my friend. SPOILER: he spent the week-end in the water closet with his good friend Miss Diarrhea.

Ya, it HIGHLY depends on what food. For the most part, Processed foods can last a really long time even if the taste may go a bit stale. Cereal on hand last forever. Perishable food doesnt last long at all unless you live in a freezer.

Raw fish is " highly perishable". Leave it for a while, eat it, and you'll be alone with Miss Diarrhea, free to do everything you want with her.
...Wait a minute. In the strip where Hitoshi was trying to recall the trip to Bistro Church, the stylus was in his right hand. But here, the fork is in his LEFT hand. Is he ambidextrous?

Not necessarily. I'm right handed, yet I use a knife in my right and fork on my left hand; it's easier to cut things with my right hand. Whoever invented the rule that you had to have the fork in your dominant hand, anyway? I say, just do whatever feels natural.

Totally do the same, I NEVER put a knife in my left hand unless I all of a sudden want to cut myself. And if I'm eating steak, forget trying to cut slices with my left hand, I might as well just eat with my hands.

im a lefty, but my other arm is stronger, so i would cut using my right arm for the fact it would cut alot faster and smoother.

i recently found some old honey sitting in the back of my kitchen that appeared to be crystalizing...so just because it doesn't have an expiration date doesn't mean it won't go bad.

Just crystallizing does not mean it has gone bad. Honey can stay for a long long time.
Adding to the fork discussion. At least around the parts where I live it's good manners to use the knife in your right hand and the fork in your left. Even I hold them that way despite being lefty, although some of my lefty friends report it being very difficult for them. The general consensus seems to be that it's easier to hold the knife in your dominant hand. You're also supposed to cut pieces of the food while you eat instead of dicing the steak first and eating it piece by piece afterwards.
...if I eat it all at once, the calorieeeeeees! But the expiration daaaate!!Throwing it away will be wasteful, too, so what's the best way to do this?!Prepare for EverythingWhat's wrong, Sanae? The expiration date for this Collon style Baumkuchen is getting close, but...Hmm...
