Corporations having more power than they should ever have, rampant censorship, half-baked AI replacing human interaction, humans expected to work on the same level as a machine...
The entire civilized world is on the fast track to becoming a cyberpunk dystopia, just without any of the cool things like mega-cities, lolis with giant robot arms, or deadly game shows hosted by Richard Dawson.

This is exactly what I've been thinking for several months now. Corporations want to be above the law, they want to dictate what's wrong and what's right based on how it profits them. Countless events in the past decade have shown that as long as you have enough money, you are above the law (it has always been the case, but nowadays it's undeniable public knowledge), so the groups with true power are not just the ones with the most money, but the ones who control the flow of money.
If it goes on unrestricted like this, it will really be a dystopia where corporations are more powerful than the government and control every aspect of our lives by telling us how to spend our money.
