ok, no need to get mad with the child. He's young and doesn't know better. Yes... yes... I'll keep telling myself that... breath in, breath out...

Yeah, I hate to break it to you, but inexplicably and unusually most people, if not almost all United State Residense, (or wherever the hell he or she is from), barely knows anything about Kanchou, whether it be a mental disability, or its the parents fault, not everybody is educated in Japanese culture, so lay off!
...So anyways, the point is to just correct his statement, and move on.
BlueFox said: Ah Naruto... good times... good times. A thousand years.
Actually, the victim is not launched thirty feet into the air, so it's just regular kanchou.

Fun fact: using bold doesn't make you look smart. It doesn't make your argument fool-proof either. Other fun fact: Naruto never made anything, people are dumb to believe so. Smart people can believe it, but they won't spam "LOL THOUSANDS YEARS" on every kanchou picture. Again another fun fact: making fun of dumb people is what the Internet is for. That, and porn. Last fun fact: Yeah, I hate to break it to you, but inexplicably and unusually enough, it may happen that some Danbooru users aren't americans. Assuming otherwise is only proving that you're shallow-minded, and extremely arrogant. Therefore I assume that you're american yourself.
First off: Not trying to sound smart, the bold print is supposed to express shouting, you can't exactly shout through a text...
Second: Thinking that Naruto invented stiff is not dumb, it's just ignorance. and as I said before, most of japan's customs are not well known in the states, or anywhere in america, hell when Naruto was popular people thought the Kyuubi was based on the pokemon, and I bet most people though DBZ invented journey to the west. Like I said, it's better just to correct them and move on.
Third: ...you got a valid point there, can't argue with that.
Lastly: Not american myself, but I have to admit, I do have some negative american customs... but still, Not alot of customs are known, so it doesn't hurt to correct them.

As an American myself I couldn't help but laugh at that.

Why don't you think about it like this: yes, Naruto didn't invent kanchou, but for some younger people, the 1000 Years was the first time they encountered it. It certainly was my first.

I discovered dwarves with Tolken, and yet I never assumed that he invented it. The main difference between you and me is that when something bugs me, I'm actually doing the research instead of assuming that whoever showed me the thing first was the one who invented it. For example, if I were to make a Youtube movie about, I dunno, some obscure concept like Avici, would you believe that I invented it, even through it was the first time you heard about it?
But I digress. That's not the main problem here. The main problem isn't the lack of culture inherent in that dark age, with the end of the world and everything. The main problem here is that those young folks are spewing their lack of knowledge on every page having either someone being anally fingered or a pattern based on slugs, snakes and frogs, shouting in their immature caps lock "zOMG THEY STOLE IT FROM NARUTO", or, sometimes, adopting some weird and retarded writing style, overusing ellipsis and suspension point in a pathetic attempt to look smarter and sound mysterious.
So why don't you think about it like this : of course, they discovered kanchou with Naruto, but they're mstupidly assuming that Naruto invented it. The problem isn't their stupidity, it's how happy they are to share it and get offended when nice people (such as myself, [/sarcasm]) are pointing out that, no, Naruto never invented Kanchou, no, Naruto never invented the slug/snake/frog thingy, and, no, Naruto isn't the first hero being stupid, wearing orange clothes, and screaming his attack's name. If anything, Naruto is more of a patchwork than an original creation.
Anyway, my conclusion is the following : yes, people discovered kanchou with Naruto. Yes, they're being stupid by assuming that Naruto invented it. And what's the Internet for? Cats, anime and porn, of course, but also mocking complete strangers for no reasons. Therefore, I'm now going to point my finger at my screen and laugh at BlueFox's comment just because I can. And also because either I laugh, or I rage, and I'd rather laugh.
