Ginko is the main character from Mushishi. He employs himself as a Mushi Master, traveling from place to place to research Mushi and aid people suffering from problems caused by them; he rarely comes back to the same location more than once, to reinforce his "wanderer" status.

He has white hair and green eyes. Ginko's attire includes a white dress shirt or a black coat. His hair covers his left eye most of the time. He is often seen smoking a cigarette or carrying a wooden backpack.
