A connector commonly used for audio and video signals, sometimes called Cinch connector. Comes in various colors.

Plugs have a single prong in the middle and a metallic ring around it, which may be fully visible or mostly covered in the plug’s plastic housing. Jacks are metallic all around and have colored plastic with a hole in the middle. They are commonly used for tape and CD players, game consoles, VHS recorders and DVD players from before the digital HD video era. Signals are always analog, except for S/PDIF digital audio, which uses only a single connector.

Connectors usually come in differently colored sets of two, three or five. White and red (sometimes black and red) for left and right channel stereo audio; yellow, white and red for composite video and stereo audio; red, green and blue for RGB or YPbPr component video with no audio; or red, green and blue, white and another red for component video and stereo audio.
