Commandant Teste (Kancolle) Wiki

She wears a large, white floppy beret with a red pom pom on top, a blue-white-and-red tartan scarf, white double-breasted jacket and belt over a navy blue dress, black kneehighs, and white-and-red platform loafers. When damaged, it can be seen she that wears white lace panties. Her long slightly wavy blonde hair is streaked with blue, white, and red, and is pulled into a ponytail. She has swept bangs held in place with a small anchor hair ornament.

Her rigging is suspended off her back, consisting of a deck-like platform carrying a mast and several cranes. Two ship-hull like platforms come along either side of her bearing two aircraft catapults apiece. Small turrets dangle from chains off of her jacket.

Similar to Warspite, Commandant Teste can pronounce French fairly well, but she also speaks Japanese with an unusual accent, overly enunciating or pausing on certain words. With little history with other implemented ships or any implemented fellow French ships, her in-game lines focus upon her wanting to train with other seaplane carriers, especially Mizuho and Hyuuga.

Historically, Commandant Teste was built as a 10,000-ton seaplane tender as a way to sneak the most powerful ship possible in under the Washington Naval Treaty without counting as a fleet carrier. She participated in the Spanish Civil War by escorting neutral shipping, but did little during World War II. After ferrying aircraft to Africa, and being damaged in a British raid on Mers-El-Kebir,, the Vichy French scuttled Commandant Teste in 1942 to prevent her from being captured by the Germans. The Italians managed to bring her back up in 1943, and passed her to the Germans, but Commandant Teste was sunk again by aerial bombing nearly a year after that. Although raised one last time after the war, there was no use seen for her, and she was sold for scrap in 1950.

Her abyssal form is assumed to be the Seaplane Tender Water Princess.
