    joker (dc)

    ジョーカー(バットマン) ジョーカー

Batman's archnemesis and the main antagonist of DC comics' Batman series and movies. A maniacal clown with green hair, bleached skin and a grotesque grin, Joker is a brilliant criminal mastermind and expert chemist who specializes in weaponized props and toxins. He is also a murderous psychopath with a horrific sense of humor and a pathological obsession with Batman.

The Joker is created by the late Bob Kane, the late Bill Finger, and the late Jerry Robinson and first appeared in Batman #1 (April 25, 1940).

One of the most recognized characters in popular culture, the Joker has been listed among the greatest comic book villains and fictional characters ever created. His likeness has appeared on merchandise such as clothing and collectible items, and he has inspired real-world structures (such as theme park attractions) and been referenced in various media. The Joker has been adapted in live-action, animated, and video game incarnations.

    Notable Incarnations

    • The Joker (Batman: the Animated Series) - The Joker as portrayed in the DC Animated Universe
    • Arthur Fleck - Civilian identity in the JOKER continuity
    • Jerome Valeska and Jeremiah Valeska - Civilian identities in the Gotham (series) continuity
