linea alba

The linea alba is a wide band of connective tissue from the sternum to the pelvis. Because it runs above the abdominal muscles, it will become visible before the "six pack" as one loses body fat. Use this tag for when the stomach appears to have some degree of definition, but not enough to show individual abs.
