    Female protagonist of the original trilogy of Star Wars sci-fi and fantasy series, and main protagonist of the Star Wars: Leia Princess of Alderaan book series.

    She is a leading member of the Rebel Alliance and Luke Skywalker's younger twin sister. Strong and beautiful, she catches the eye of Han Solo and an unlikely relationship blossoms between the two.

    She was played by the late American actress Carrie Fisher in the three original films from the 70s and 80s, and in Star Wars: The Force Awakens and Star Wars: The Last Jedi for the sequel trilogy.
