A fictional female character from the Gundam mechaverse. She first appeared in the Mobile Suit Gundam TV show from 1979.
Sayla Mass is a junior member of the Earth Federation White Base spacecraft crew. She is a Core Fighter/G-Fighter/Core Booster pilot.
She is the actual sister of Char Aznable/Casval Rem Deikun.
Also appears in Gundam GQuuuuuux (2025). In this continuity she is shown to have still joined the Earth Federation, and pilots a Light Type Guncannon with the colors of the original Gundam.
In GQuuuuuux, her encounter and subsequent duel with Char Aznable (in the Red Gundam) during the fall of Solomon in Granada City on the Moon is implied to be the cause for the Zeknova Event that caused the disappearance of Char and the Red Gundam (as well as a big chunk of the Solomon asteroid).
