    seven-segment display

    7セグメントディスプレイ

A seven-segment display is a form of electronic display used to show decimal numerals, ususally using LED or LCD technology.

This is very commonly seen in digital clocks, calculators and other simple electronic devices without more sophisticated high-resolution display panels.

See segment display for similar displays that have a different number of segments.
