I think it's just pathetic that a statue of an anime character making a lasso out of his spunk sold for 15 million dollars. I don't know what point Murakami is trying to make but he's getting a whole heap of cash. It seems the key to making money is creating real life models of things under the "what" tag. The "weird" tag is just a mild "what" tag anyways.
lol this figure was on a big Sotheby's billboard here in New York last year. I believe it was on 10th avenue and W 17th street. Keep in mind it only displayed from the chest up. But still I knew it had to be spooge. lol now I know.
