You basically have about 12 episodes of Haruhi that was unchanging.... yes 12 episodes of reused frames and script
Reused script, but basically each of the six completely repeated episodes was differently animated. Like they assigned six different task group to animate the one episode and used all six versions (the first and last episodes are slightly different in script, and some of the six used variations on events). Each of them is beautifully animated.
It was a troll of sorts to have eight of 14 new episodes be basically the same episodes, over and over again. But that more than proved the point that one story was telling (we got the Nagato Yuki variation....were we experienced it over and over again.....just like she did).
Also makes the plot twist of Disappearance have some weight behind it.
