Not that this is really the place for this discussion anyway, but since there is speculation as to why the woman in question is bruised - the reality is, a huge chunk of the market for prostitution is not for people looking to just have sex, but for people specifically looking to abuse another human being. For every john who just wants to have sex (which isn't such a terrible motivation, IMO), there are three who get their kicks more from beating the shit out of a prostitute than from actually having sex. This is why even in places with legal prostitution, where there is supposedly regulation to keep this from happening, there is rampant abuse. After all, even legal brothels will lose a boatload of money if they don't cater to both the normal sex-wanting and the asshole woman-beating demographics.

Wait, no, Soul-Crushingly Depressing? How? I mean, it's pretty difficult to feel that way when I see this image and imagine a prostitute falling down the stairs, but honestly, I have to know what was going through your head...
To see this scene and imagine a prostitute falling down the stairs is called denial, and unless you are a 'special person', hypocrisy. You and I will both simply walk away awkwardly from such a spectacle in real life; the difference, always based on what you wrote, is that you will walk away thinking that nothing is wrong with that lovely morning in your everyday life.

Did you have any real data to back this up or are those some kinda feminist fanatic talking?
