I read in the Disgaea 2 official art book that the archers purposely bred so as to have no breasts. They interfere with their archery. So she shouldn't be too peeved about the comment.

And I suppose the knights are bred for giant tits because big tits help swordplay?

Even though they wear hotpants and stripy thighhighs?

What are you talking about? The lady warriors are also flat as washboards. There was even a Disgaea 2 comic made poking fun at their flatness. The Lady Samurai however have tits.

Just because they're bred that way, doesn't mean they have to like it...

Pretty sure he meant magic knights, which most definitely are busty. See post #29411 for reference.
The original primary artist of Disgaia was a DFC fan, and drew nearly all the original classes as flat. The joke about how the Vampire knockoff monster girls Succubus and Nekomata were Laharl's weaknesses was made specifically because of that.
Archer, however, was specifically popular in Japan (mainly because of the voice), and she gained some fan following that guaranteed she kept reappearing. (Including being the only Disgaia character besides the Prinny that appeared in Phantom Brave.) She gained the rep as the RJ of Disgaia, even though almost every other female character was flat as well. In D3, one of the archer's lines is even, "Cheer on my flatness!" Meanwhile, other flat characters like femme fighter and cleric got different personalities. (Tomboy and femdom, respectively...) The nature of those personalities, and the fact that "being RJ" was already taken meant that the Flanderization only took place on the archers.
