Now dont count Utsuho out either, now. She was already going at quite the speed in that direction. With the momentum, that attack may have done very little.
I wonder what exactly did she hit. It doesn't totally look like it was the head... Maybe she hit Okuu on the back? I can't really say.
Now to wonder if Okuu is out... Being hit like that on the back might be the endgame. If that was the case, she fought really damn well... Even without the control rod!
.... Another comic where Moku is inexplicably godlike in power. *sigh*
And no one's concerned that this match is probably done in about 1/8th the length of any of the others? Even the curb stomp Chen/Akyuu vs Tenshi/Mystia, what originally held the title of fastest fight.

Actually, of the six matches so far, this is the third longest at 18 strips, with the Chen/Akyuu vs Mystia/Tenshi fight surpassing it at approximately 21 strips.
But, ultimately, length doesn't really matter, as long as the fights are well done. Besides the Komachi/Yuugi vs Iku/Tewi fight (which, incidentally, is the shortest fight at the moment), I think they've all been complete and satisfying in their own way.

She's not all she's cracked up to be in "Tag Dream". She even lost in her first match. The second match she fought (she was hired by the team that defeated her in the first match), she was getting jobbed pretty well too.

Yeah she was, then she and Kaguya broke out abilities that by the rules of that comic shouldn't have worked, like say, super strength to handle Eiki's rod of remorse, and then JUMPING FROM THE MAT TO THE ROOF OF THE ARENA.
F.I.A said: Okay, so now Mokou is a Wu? That's rather farfetched...
Just making use of one of her spell cards, is all. A bit of alteration to its presentation, to how Yakumo would use it in 3x3 Eyes, rather than the danmaku torrent.
Oh, and YAY, Mokou! I'd been worried it would go too easily once she had a chance to go on the offensive, but Okuu's attack was a formidable obstacle to overcome. I think I can be satisfied with this fight now, even if she and Koishi end up losing somehow.
Theory: Mokou and Okuu both fall to the ground unconscious, and just when the match is about to be called a draw/loss for both parties, it turns out that Koishi is standing.
Because really, Koishi's done pretty much nothing this whole fight.
dandan said: no inexplicably godlike. She has several attacks that seem tailor made to work against supernatural creatures outside her fire based default attacks.
So yeah

I think you guys are missing the point and misunderstanding what he said. He's annoyed at the fact of Mokou having super strength when in all honesty her having super strength makes no sense considering she is human. She is immortal, but still merely human. Super strength doesn't work that way.
Danmaku wise, yes, she is powerful. Same could be said about many people. Though what stage someone is really shouldn't be used too much powerscale wise if you haven't figured that out by now.
I think the popularity of IN helps her quite a bit really.
Fun fact: humans are capable of pulling off insane feats of strength. It's just that our bodies are instinctively trained not to use it, because it would destroy our bones, so it only really comes out in 'fight or flight' situations.
Since Mokou has regenerative immortality, so she could have taken the time trained her body to ignore these instincts.
Yes, the limitations of the body are exploitable in many ways same as the brain.
Potentially train yes, but considering they're more magic dominant fighters be it Kaguya's spells and Mokou's fire...it is doubtful, though that is the joy of fandom.
After centuries of continous battle, you manage to throw away your tunnel-vision, and see, that if attack 'A' doesn't work out for you, you can always switch...
Let's remember that Utsuho isn't neccesarly out of the fight yet.
As I'm an Okuu fan to a dumb degree, I refuse to believe that she's lost yet... Despite the fact that Mokou has a higher stage count...
Still, if the fight is over now, I'll be depressed. This was probably the fight I was looking forward to the most, and to see most of the combatants go down in one blow... It's just that it's lackluster compared to the former fights.
dandan said: then why even bring it at all here, Dalve?
seems you just want to look for a fight, but why even bother? So yeah
Is it wrong to try to help someone understand someone else's point of view? I was merely defending someone else's post since people "possibly" misunderstood.
Why is this becoming a fight to you? I'm not ridiculing you or attacking your side. I'm merely bringing up possibilities like Candycrazy and GreenDrag did after me in regards to what I said.
Magus said: Because it's not like she's an EX boss who's canonically extremely powerful or anything.
This argument is invalid. Reimu was a 3 stage boss if I remember well in touhou 7. And technically, she powned ALL the ex boss of Touhou ou 6 stage boss.
This is just a question of ability, Mokou is immortal so she can't die ou be really knock out like that, so Okuu was technically more powerful and else, but Mokou is so broken with this immortality that Okuu never could beat her.
But well, Mokou is pretty bad ass in this comic. I mean, not like all the fan say "BADAASSSS", but she is pretty pissed, she is pretty vulgar and... And this is the first time I accept the mokou love with suck facility, because this mokou is really badass, not the silent girl type who is extremely powerful and cool.
She don't like you, she kick your butt, smash your face and if you try to counter, she will look at you like "What are you trying weak man?".
Magus said: Because it's not like she's an EX boss who's canonically extremely powerful or anything.
Your first mistake was using stage number as a basis for power. I've never understood why Touhou fans do this at all. This isn't a Shonen anime, and it's subverted so much within the games themselves that you really have no excuse for continuing to use it. Let me ask you: Do you really think Satori and Orin are more powerful than Yuugi, simply because they're in later stages than she is? Even though she's an Oni, and a deva at that?
Also, what about Shikieki? She's "merely" a final boss but according to Yukari, she would EASILY defeat Reimu, Yuyuko, and Yukari herself in 3v1 combat. But since she's just a final boss, she would OBVIOUSLY get pwned by Mokou and other EX bosses, hmm?
And let's put the final nail in the coffin with this: Kanako and Suwako. Kanako's a final boss, and Suwako's an EX boss. So Suwako > Kanako? Yet, the explicit backstory to these two characters was that the latter showed up at the former's house and pwned her in just one move.
Point is, judging a character's strength by their stage number is about the dumbest thing I've ever seen from the Touhou fandom and is in no way a good measure for a character's strength. Mokou especially. Mokou's just a human, and not even a particularly haxed one like Reimu. Her ONLY notable trait is her immortality. Not to mention that she's Kaguya's rival, and the fandom loves to portray Kaguya as being weak and pathetic. So if Kaguya is weak and is Mokou's rival, shouldn't Mokou be weak too? Mokou has no business so easily defeating the Shikigami of Gensokyo's most powerful Youkai and a hell raven with the power of the god of the sun, or even defeating them at all. Okuu's a favorite of mine but I really feel bad for Ran. She was overshadowed by Yukari's unique Phantasm and people don't take note of how powerful she really is. Someone like Mokou is NOTHING to her.
tl;dr: Mokou sucks, and shouldn't even be able to defeat ONE of these girls, let alone both of them, and with one hit each. Hitomoji is just an extreme Mokou fanboy.
Empty Man: "Wu"!!!...then let's see how you like this fucker!!If my flames won't work on you...Touchao!!These are references to the manga and anime series 3x3 Eyes. Touchao ("Earth Claws" in Chinese) is a summoned beast that emerges from the ground (or any solid surface) and slices its target.
