Ok, bringging this back up.
I've noticed that people don't lurk enough before adding tags, and create new ones to describe something that already have a tag asigned.
There's one guy that keeps adding very_large_breasts instead of huge breasts, even when it has been corrected a couple of times.
The same goes for people who wants to describe the pic with tags like cum_on_the_left_foot_toes (it's just an example but I think you get the point).
And sometimes, when they see that some tag has been deleted or changed for a correct or existing one, they delete it and add their own shitty tag again.
So, here are some tips.
when you upload or update an image, if in the tags you added some appears with a counter of "1" try to:
Remember:
Finally:
If anybody wants to add or remove anything of what I wrote, feel free to do so.
If anybody thinks that I missunderstod something, please let me know.

I don't know if Miezaru is still active.
And the last post here was seven years ago - I don't think it was worth bumping for that.
Perhaps it should not have been bumped. I followed the link from another thread and actually thought this thread was stickied too. I just wanted to use the tag cloud, I guess it just doesn't exist at this time.
You can still see the most-used tags of all time on the Tags page. Set the category, order by "Count," and leave the name field blank.
Tags that have been used a lot recently show up on the side of the front page. I'm not sure what the algorithm for that is
Hey, I am tagging a post for the first time and I'm having trouble with the background tag. How does this tag work? There are only 489 posts tagged background, so should I even be using it? Also, should the wiki page have a link to tag group:backgrounds? Thanks!

I did not even know that this tag exists.
But I would always use the specific background tag (argyle, striped, blue, honeycomb etc.)
And if it is only in one color, then you should use the simple background tag, too.
As for background as a banned tag: I'd support this. Background on its own has no significance.
Regarding the tags of Hetalia, I have an idea. For the anthropomorphic female bodies in those countries, can we create some additional labels to distinguish them from the original ones?
For example:
japan_(hetalia) The first Japanese anthropomorphic character in the works
japan_(another)_(hetalia) The second character representing Japan is a girl
Sure,I think it's correct to tag mtf in the posts of characters of another gender representing the same country in this work.
According to the author's statement and the consensus of fans, these characters with different genders should exist independently, not as sexual transformations of the original characters. This is disrespect for the characters, and it is correct for us to re-create new tags for them.
