Reason: I'm not well-reasearched, so maybe this should be in reverse, esp. if the tarot images themselves are being drawn, not card backing.

I honestly don't know if there's any significance to tarot over tator_cards or vice versa so I'll wait for comments from others first. I would have been inclined to go with tarot_cards though, since thats how I see them referenced.

It should be the reverse: tarot_cards -> tarot.

What is an example of a tarot that's not a tarot card? I just haven't heard the term use in any other context, that's all.

Ah, I meant it as an alias, not as an implication. The cards themselves are properly called tarots; "tarot card" is a bit redundant. You might use "tarot card" to separate the cards themselves from the general tarot "theme" (as in T5etc.'s example), but since we have no interest in doing that (especially when the separate "cards" tag is available), there's no reason to alias "tarot" to "tarot_cards". Instead, there are reasons to do the reverse.

Done. I assume the plural of tarot is just tarot, like deer->deer?

I think it's one of those words that doesn't have a plural, kinda like information and water. Any question like "how many Tarots did you use for the reading?" makes no sense, so it's almost certainly a non-counting noun.

I suppose that's why I always see it coupled with "cards", then.
