The thumbnail and the scaled-down view of the pic have black splotches across various parts of the pic.
However, the full view shows up fine, as do both the full-sized and small-sized versions on pixiv.
Can anyone clue me in as to what's going on with this?

I think the black splotches are transparencies. Transparencies show up as solid blocks of color on thumbnails, just like the thumbnails of those with the tag "transparent background."
Cases in point: post #503404 and post #508336. Their thumbnails have splotches of black as well.
