I'm not sure if :t is supposed to mean pout but could pout either be implicated to :t?

:t is an emoticon. It refers to the shape of the mouth. Characters don't have to be making a :t face in order to be pouting, so the former does not imply the latter. Whether or not an implication in the other direction (:t --> pout) is a good idea I'll leave as an exercise to the reader.

And speaking of pout, should pout be aliased to pouting?
