And all the english names suck. I'll be spending my time renaming my pokemon into the japanese names.

"Pignite" sounds cool (though, sigh, another Fire/Fighting starter), and I'd imagine many of the names are just a bunch of gobbledygook to anyone who's not savvy in Nipponese *glares at Sawsbuck's JP name*. Regardless, this is for consistency and usability. Still...it's already coming out Westward. And on a not-Tuesday, too.

Updated

New approach to Pokemon for me:

I am not aliasing any pokemon names from jp->en. A lot will be too ambiguous and I don't think it helps anyone to have a scattershot "alias some, edit others" approach.

We're still using the English names for the creatures, don't get me wrong, but they're all just going to be tag edits, not aliases.

So, Pokemon fans, feel free to change any Japanese Pokemon creature char tag to its English equivalent without starting a thread and waiting for me to do it. I figure you guys will get on top of new announcements a lot faster than I will, and there's more of you than of me.
