About the "God damn It!" Pools.

You know just as well as I do that you can't get anything done in the pointless pools thread if the pool involved requires more than 2 posts of discussion. If there isn't a clear consensus (or just nobody replied), the pool will be forgotten. It happens all the time, see

Only good that Danielx21 made a thread about it, or it would've been ignored as well. I'll make some threads in the next days about pools I've posted before in the pointless pools thread as well. At least then I'll get some actual opinions and a discussion going.

The points you made in your post which I marked in bold are just not the truth. Now, imagine this: we do all the changes I suggested, populate the prank and trolling tags and let all of these tags and pools coexist, so that everything you wrote is now true. The Yukari pool, which is the most unique one, would look like this:

You can also use trolling yakumo_yukari and get ~2% noise.

If a new pool ends up being made, I'd like to suggest "Touhou - Gap Shenanigans" as a possible name.

EDIT: And, while I'm at it, I'd like to insert pool #4099 Touhou - Good work, Yukari! into the conversation.

I'd rather just use a pool since not everything has to become extremely serious business, goddamn.

Really now, no matter how small that pool is, it still serves as a collection of images in which Yukari actually helps. If you actually want to add something about pool merging, it's all those "perfect x" pools. Yes, I know, they each have a specific body part but wasn't there multiple pools about mysterious body parts that got merged to pool #2388? I don't see why we can't do that to the perfect body parts too.

The problem with specific character pools are that they're squandering the usefulness of pools. If they get out of hand we'd end up with 10 times the amount of pools we'd actually need and it'd make it that much harder to find certain kinds of images. So instead of having two specific pools just for Yukari we could have two pools that potentially be used for anyone. Prankster characters are not unique or uncommon, so there's no reason why they're can't be a pool for when those troublemakers do good, instead.

Something like that. I'm not fond of commentary-styled names. I don't think they're very effective, and their results have already been shown and discussed in the thread.

I'm not sure about the first one, but something like "Uncommon kindness" or "Unexpected good deeds" would be a start for the second one, at least. Without context "Good job, guys!" doesn't properly describe what the content should be.

In that case, "God Damn it, guys!" could just fall under trolling. Although the other one would be pool material.

Before case like forum #81680 becomes worse, I think merging all 'trolling and pranks by specific characters' pools is still a valid point, as per S1eth's suggestion:

If we really want those pools to be worth anything at all, we need to:
1. Rename the pools to something less ambigious
2. Standardize the criteria for the inclusion of images.
3. Moderate the pools

Having separate pools for specific characters doing the exact same thing is troublesome.
