Fate/apocrypha characters [SPOILERS]

Posted under General

After some browsings, I note the title of the Servants from both sides should be:

archer_of_black
assassin_of_black
berserker_of_black
caster_of_black
lancer_of_black
rider_of_black
saber_of_black

archer_of_red
assassin_of_red
berserker_of_red
caster_of_red
lancer_of_red
rider_of_red
saber_of_red

Jeanne d'Arc still have her name printed in text material (http://www.zerochan.net/1393278), so should we either stick to her name as usual or implicate it to ruler_(fate/apocrypha)?.

class_of_color is unique enough that it doesn't need a qualifier, IMO.

I mean, it would be a PITA to have so many unneccesary _(fate/apocrypha) qualifiers.

Mordred was pretty much a featured extra in Fate/stay night so I recommend we just tag her as saber_of_red.

As for Jeanne, I'd tag her as ruler_(fate/apocrypha) if only to avoid the misspellings of her name.

I'll be doing all edits today except for Mordred and Karna (also problematic since he's also in Fate/extra CCC). Any ideas for those two will be appreciated.

Updated

Finished editing, went with this:

archer_of_black
assassin_of_black
berserker_of_black
caster_of_black
lancer_of_black
rider_of_black
saber_of_black

archer_of_red
assassin_of_red
berserker_of_red
caster_of_red
lancer_of_red
rider_of_red
saber_of_red

ruler_(fate/apocrypha)

I went ahead and changed Mordred and Karna too, changing them back should be easy if needed as they have few posts.

The wiki entries probably need to be renamed too, can you do that dean?

Other fate/apocrypha-qualified tags left:

balmung_(fate/apocrypha) (sword that also appears outside the Fate series)

david_(fate/apocrypha) (unused Servant design)
musashibo_benkei_(fate/apocrypha) (unused Servant design)
st._george_(fate/apocrypha) (unused Servant design)
sakata_kintoki_(fate/apocrypha) (unused Servant design)

To be honest I do not see the point of changing Mordred to Saber of Red. Putting the cat into the bag after it was already shown off is rather pointless, and the character existed before Apocrypha and so isn't just a Apocrypha only character, so we shouldn't treat the character as such in my opinion (there is fanart of the character pre-dating Apocrypha, is there not?). There also doesn't appear to be a costume change to make it necessary to conceal the character's name, so why is it necessary that Mordred has to be relabeled now Saber of Red?

Pretty much all the fanart on Pixiv is also tagging the character Mordred and most of the images label the character as Mordred anyways.

Slightly different issue, but still related to Apocrypha.
kotomine_shirou was, AFAIK, a purely fan-made character akin to archerko, as a "what-if" version of Shirou's future if Kotomine would adopt him instead of Kiritsugu. Now "Kotomine Shirou" is legitimate Apocrypha character, with completely different char-design and "unknown relation" to Kirei. Should we make a separate tag for fanon Kotomine Shirou?

I suggest leaving gawain (fate/extra) as it is because it's confusing when you compare it to saber extra. Though shouldn't *that* one be saber (fate/extra)?

Hmm, I guess we can leave it then.

Looking around the Type-Moon wiki though, looks like we could alias the following:

male_protagonist_(fate/extra) -> kishinami_(fate/extra) OR zableru_(fate/extra)
female_protagonist_(fate/extra) -> hakuno_(fate/extra) OR zabiko_(fate/extra)

(source: http://typemoon.wikia.com/wiki/Hakuno_Kishinami)

I read the wiki link and I'm still unclear on which to use. It seems like they both Kishinami Hakuno, but go by nicknames Kishinami as male and Hakunon as females. Use the nicknames then?

That's what I was thinking too.
