Delete "Awesome Mecha" Pool

pool #834 "Awesome Mecha" (1375 posts)

Any images with a mecha, giant robot that are either drawn very well, a good cg, or just kick ass.

Feel free to add Jets or Military Vehicles if they meet the criteria but not Mecha Musume. Less focus on the person and more on the mech.

Just a subjective mecha favorites pool. Not very selective either, as it compromises about 15% of the mecha tag.

Get rid of the pool system replace it with a system of mazes one must traverse to access the true danbooru where you become one with the animes.

I don't think typing the word "mecha" into a search box is complex enough to be described as "traversing a system of mazes".

While deleting the pool may be a sound idea, I feel that it showcases some high-quality, well-drawn illustrations under the mecha tag, with the mecha being the focus of the picture. Not all of the pictures belong in that pool, so it may going the way of the Badass pool (but that is another discussion). I say that if the pool should be kept it should be strictly for top-quality mecha pictures.

I understand why the pool should be deleted, but my feelings are against it. If only there was a way to keep the pool...

The pool should be kept as Canadabro said strictly for top-quality mecha pic's.

But as I have said before other times there should be a voting system in place to delete pools som more have a say in it. As its going this site is going to end up a shell of itself do to 4 or 5 deleting everything they don't like or is not what they think it should be.

I feel for the ones that did what i normally did in checking the perfect pools every 2 to 3 months to see whats new,

But "top-quality" is completely subjective. Subjective pools and tags should not be used.

Isn't voting already what we're doing with this forum thread? Why would we need a new voting system when the forums already accomplish voting just fine, and at the same time allow for more in-depth discussion?

At this point I think the idea of policing subjective pools with subjective pronouncements about their subjective worth is becoming less and less worth the mental effort. The line between a "good" and "bad" pool is incredibly unclear and often has less to do with the pool definition itself than whether someone has been gardening it responsibly. Given that I don't see the benefit in deleting this one, but people who care about it should feel free to clean it up.
