Those are being worn though. Some of the fake serval ears examples just have the headband being held. Would someone holding a Shantae wig or Shuten Douji horns necessitate their respective cosplay and (autoimplied) character tags?
(Bolded mine)
serval_ears fake_animal_ears. 2-tag search. Same for most of the other *FOOANIMAL*_ears tags when trying to find fake, "worn" versions of them.
And how many posts does serval_ears fake_animal_ears -serval_(kemono_friends) have?
One of them is not serval ears, the others are identical to many other under serval's cosplay search. That's four posts identical to how many other hundreds of posts under cosplay?
Who cares if the hairband is 5 cm from the head instead of anchored to it, we can make an imminent_cosplay tag or something if we really need to be able to tell the difference. That plus the specific character cosplay tag is a much more sensible idea than keeping a padding tag of this size around for no reason. It's absurd to think that we need to keep specific tags like these just so that someone can search specifically for the removed ears of that kind. Who would ever do that? I can understand cat ears, but serval? Otter??
If nobody has ever cared about making a distinction before why do we need to get suckered into this kind of endless discussion? If users wanted those posts to not be tagged with serval' character tag, there would be a lot more posts in there. But clearly nobody cares. I can find random similar posts just glancing at the search without a bit of effort.
Taggers don't care, uploaders don't care, searchers don't care, what exactly are we arguing about here? What hypothetical category of extremely rare user would ever care about this? And why haven't they before for all the years that these tags have existed?
I apologize for the outburst but it's really tiresome that every argument on this site has to be dragged to absurd conclusions just for the sake of picking apart semantical differences nobody in the world would ever care about.
