hairlocs might be the "technically" correct version but i have never heard anyone say it

I have not found the term "hairlocs" in any dictionary, but I did find the term "locs" described in wiktionary as a clipping of the word "dreadlocks".
"Hairlocs" does not seem to be the proper term here, or even a proper word at all, since it just means "hair-dreadlocks", which is just redundant.
"Dreadlocks" is what everyone uses, and it is also the word that is used worldwide to describe that hairstyle outside of the English-speaking world (including the Japanese wasei term: 「ドレッド・ヘア」).
The alias was bizarrely created in topic #4270 12 years ago because some guy said so.

Had that BUR being requested today, I'm sure it would get downvoted to hell, lots of rebuttal replies, and then be rejected.
That aside, I never heard of "hairlocs" either, I always knew it as "dreadlocks".
