AI-generated art check thread

The artist was simply very thorough and there are no parts of the character that were not painted over.

And that's exactly what I'm saying? I never claimed the artist didn't paint over the original image, I just believe that

I consider painting over AI's output a learning process that helps with understanding color choices and depiction of lights and shadows.

and that, because this artist put in the work to make the character have 8K-resolution details, I can say the character is not scaled up.

Which you may disagree but to each their own.

Oh March 29th, artist AztoDio declared on their Patreon that they have integrated Stable Diffusion into their workflow and described the AI/human work ratio as 50/50.

AztoDio: State of AI

Looking at their currently-active Twitter alt AztoDeus, I believe they have started using AI for backgrounds much earlier than this declaration (which they admitted), so my question is: At which point did they start using AI for characters?

Personally, I believe everything starting from this Tifa art onwards have ai assistance for the character, but can you find ones before that? Have we mis-tagged any post among these?

Oh wow, the dude is definitely using A.I.

Even with the "assist", you can still see the deadpan A.I stare.

It's actually kinda sad. It's taking your art and putting it through a Borg filter.

Many parts of post #6256194 look AI-generated. The part that jumped out at me immediately was the hand, especially when I looked at the artist's previous works and confirmed that they are in fact capable of drawing them. There's also the eyes, the flooring, other objects in the background, her clothing, and as someone pointed out in the comments, the bricks.

i'd say probably not; while the hand is absolutely comical the rest of the details on the body and clothes are pretty solid -- see the ear and the chest-ornament, for example.
though the low resolution / compression doesn't help, if you're still sceptical perhaps see if they post a bigger version on fanbox at some point to get a clearer look

yea, the lingerie looks melted into the skin + the right strap is levitating

i don't believe either of those flaws are typical of AI art though,
while the picture has many rough spots i'd say at worst it could be very heavily edited over the AI output, or possibly an edit of some non-AI picture …
the imperfections on the edges of her arms and hands are pretty suspicious

While her body's outline is strange, the lingerie is simply on a different layer intended to be moved around. It looks strange because it has some comically repeated and transformed texture. Look at this thumbnail for the Fanbox reward.

Since a PSD is offered, perhaps the only way to know for sure is to subscribe and see. But I'm willing to say the existence of a PSD and 72 variations is a pretty good sign even without seeing them.

They've never done so before. While I don't believe they'd be reading any English-language discussions, much less a specific thread in a booru forum, I still can't help feeling really sad thinking what kind of environment might have motivated them to do so.

That's the world we live in now thanks to A.I generators.

Although for any skilled artist, it's not a hard request. It only takes 5 seconds to screenshot your layers in Photoshop, or take a wireframe render of 3D models.

Posting the steps is overkill, people just need to know if you actually drew something vs writing a prompt and click generate.

I am disappointed at you
@aztodeus
.
At least have the common decency to add the "AI-generated" tag to your recent Pixiv posts.

Damn shame. You aint fooling us with "50/50 AI help".

Wow. If you don't agree with a stranger's AI philosophy you should part ways and both move on with their lives IMO. What's the point of using your fame as an artist to direct your angry fans at another artist? Is that productive discourse about the already heated topic of AI? No. It's just outrage-signaling.

Fair to criticize AztoDio for not tagging their Pixiv submissions "AI-generated". Totally fair. The rest is so extra and I'm not with Sydus at all.

Fun fact:
AI generators can actually spit out sketch layers now. In this case, those are real sketch layers, pretty easy to tell. AI genned sketch layers will typically show what is essentially a sketch filter over the final image. You'll see linework in strange places because it's essentially working backward.
