But I will say that this one is probably extremely important. The child tags are a pretty daily mess of bad tagging and "pedo" and the like are probably the most common invalid flags. If stuff like post #6263924 are getting tagged female child instead of loli, something's gotta give.

I understand, makes sense

I concur that this absolutely must happen, which is also why I decided to post and bump it up the list again, hopefully keep it visible
I'd even tag Evazion himself to bring his attention to this, but don't want to incur his wrath for disturbing him

Don't worry, he has already been notified, but there is no telling when he'll have time to pass judgment on the children.

I don't understand why invalid flags and mistags are a supposed justification for nuking a tag.

They're not on their own, but the unique legal risks associated with the tag and the inability to consistently moderate these posts fast enough make it much more of a liability than other tags.

I think that for there to be any way for these tags to be saved, applying them needs to be idiot-proof. The site already has mechanisms for preventing depreciated tags from being added to posts. Is there a way we can do the same with child based on the image rating or other tags in the image? For example, rerating from G to S or higher could automatically remove the tag and its variants. Conversely, the tags could be rejected when tagging posts not rated G. This wouldn't solve everything on its own, of course, but it might help.

As was said both in response to you and throughout the last three threads on the matter, it is an absolute moderation nightmare that is constantly being made worse. Even the user who created the tags uses it incorrectly, infrequently gardening it onto posts with loli or on images that should be tagged loli instead. And it happens near daily.

But with these burs failing and not being touched on, we can assume that the female child tags are here to say and "flourish". Someone should probably revisit the implications to child as a result.
