I guess I'll get this thread started then, seems like costume tags have already started being made for Honkai: Star Rail since there's promo art with different costumes.
Just like with Genshin it'd be nice if people who make those tags could put something in the wiki explaining what it is.

bailu in the official art in question is just in her default clothing with a shoulder bag

I don't see how this makes any sense. If the tag exists it should be implied to its base tag. If you don't think it needs to then the correct solution is to delete the tag, not randomly remove the implication.

well i have removed the tag in the post and admins can now reject the BUR i guess

edit: i just knew that i can reject my own BUR

Missing fried chicken implication + an alt form/past incarnation.

Also thought of requesting imply yingxing (honkai: star rail) -> blade (honkai: star rail) for the same reason but I don't think it's fully confirmed and only just implied, so big shrug.

i am reusing this costume thread here since there is no general one for star rail
anyway since the latter tag exists might as well implify the former as numby is canonically a warp trotter of topaz

I'm not sure about implying Numby to their species, since there's always a possibility of an artist drawing a humanized form of Numby. It be the same like implying all Mickey Mouse posts as mouse, even if he's drawn as a human.

In this case the question would be whether a personification of Numby would be desirable to find in a warp trotter + personification search. I would argue yes, but maybe someone has a good reason why it shouldn't. Mickey Mouse is already humanoid so it's a bit of a different situation; he looks nothing like a regular mouse to begin with.

Currently there are only 4 non-Numby Warp Trotter posts, and I'm not sure they're all even correct: warp_trotter_(honkai:_star_rail) -numby_(honkai:_star_rail). If the point of this is so you can find generic Warp Trotters, then it would be better to just reserve the Warp Trotter tag for generic Trotters than to make people search warp_trotter_(honkai:_star_rail) -numby_(honkai:_star_rail).

This would be like if we had a tag for Ash's Pikachu from Pokemon, and also a tag for Pikachu in general, but it turned out 99% of Pikachu were just Ash's Pikachu. So then every Pikachu post received two character tags for no reason.
