The reason I didn't added javelin into spear (and polearm) implication is because it was traditionally considered a thrown weapon rather than a classic polearm weapon, even though it has some melee functionality (see pilum for example).
The bulk update request #25387 (forum #277678) has been rejected by @c_spl.
