About the pool #2172 (Okay, now tell me how you really feel.)

I don't see a strong connection between it and the posts, at all. Perhaps someone could explain the choice of the name; or it could be changed.

In my opinion, even Rant would be a better name.
Or, we can use a page title from TV Tropes once again, and call the pool "The Reason You Suck" Speech.

I'd suggest changing the pool to "Telling Him Off," "Disgusted Insults," "Viewer Backlash," "Destruction of Self-Esteem," etc...

or something like that.

IMO this should be a tag.

I'm guessing the name of the pool is such because it shows characters insulting another guy/the viewer with harsh words, which differs from typical fanart depiction where they are mostly, you know, good-natured. Thus, "tell me how you really feel".

Seems like there's a couple kinda here, some are just insults, some are angry, some are wall_of_text.

There are many different ideas and thoughts here, but no consensus towards any of them, so I won't help to implement them now.

However, at least, nobody seems to want that really bad name "Okay, now tell me how you really feel." So, if nobody has anything else to say, I'm just going to rename the pool.

i'd go with Shintear's suggestion of "Destruction of Self-Esteem"
Fits the pool perfectly.

I'd prefer something simpler, like "Harsh Words".

"You Suck" sounds perfect considering pools like "Enjoying this moment with you..." (how do you link pools anyway?)

There are a small variety of ways to link to a pool.

The standard, most used one works this way:

• pool #1277 links to the pool "Badass"
• pool #2778 links to the pool "Pixiv 1000"
• pool #876 links to the pool "Tag PANIC!"
• Every pool has a number. The number is the last part of its web address. You can use the number to link to it, the way I did above.

Brutal Honesty

The names "voted" twice (i.e., the names supported by two different people):

• Destruction of Self-Esteem
• You Suck

It's a draw. But I created the thread, so my vote is worth at least 1% more than any other. :p If nobody has anything else to say, or more votes to compute, I'm just going to use "You Suck" and call it a day.

Done.

That's fine. Short pool names are generally better.

There was another option that got 2 votes: "Harsh Words", and I wanted to support it but completely forgot about this thread. Guess it's to late now, or is it?

This thread was about a problem: a pool had a really bad name. The problem was completely solved, yes, but it's never too late to revisit the names and whatnot.

However, let me clarify:

I easily interpreted Alignn's words as changing his/her mind from "Harsh Words" to "You Suck".

(And, my other major interpretation is that jxh2154 didn't vote for anything; "Short pool names are generally better." sounds like a neutral, passive approval.)

Perhaps, but "You Suck" doesn't apply to all posts currently added to the pool #2172. Aside of "You Suck" posts there are also ones with intimidation, telling us to fuck off, or simply rants. "Harsh Words" is more inclusive and therefore seems to be better for this pool.

That's true. I'd still go with the punchier name over the slightly more accurate one, but both work.
