Failbooru

I've been getting an extremely persistent (more than an hour) failbooru of the "the database timed out" variety when trying to view my own profile. I can typically view other profiles just fine....

See also forum #38661. It's been getting worse for me. I was able to view my own profile and others from time to time yesterday, now it seems I can't view my own no matter how many times I try to go to it.

What's really annoying though is that wildcard source and tag searches keep failing on me when I really need them...

I've been trying to to pixiv source fixes all day and it's been failing, it was working fine yesterday. (This is also a warning for you jxh.)

I think that Danbooru needs a nice long break from everyone and spend some time resting. Maybe after having it's nap/repairs we can see if the failbooru still persist.

99% of the most failbooru occurs when trying to view: "My profile" It is like now impossible and it doesn't matter which time of the day. Refreshing constantly isn't making it better. Like EB and theadonicus mentioned above.

I experienced this exactly a week ago. Before that it was all fine.

Hmm, until today I had been getting random infrequent failures (consistently on some user profiles like I said before), today though I'm getting a ton of them on just about everything, pools, post listings, post updates, etc.

Has something major happened load-wise recently? Both mirrors are still working, right?

what is bothering me is that I get this message for simple tag searches, not only source metatag now, while the uploading is working perfectly fine. Nothing serious, but my f5 has been overused lately.

Don't know about you but there's a number of simple tag searches right now that I'm just unable to perform no matter how many times I try to refresh. Some random tags just won't work.

I got failbooru for the main page today (not the post listing, the main main page at http://danbooru.donmai.us). So something is definitely wrong.

It's definitely gotten worse as time has gone on.

Days ago, there were infrequent Failbooru messages I've run into while browsing the site. Now, it may take me multiple refreshes before I'm able to access anyone's profile or even search single tags.

I've been getting Failbooru more often by browsing different tags. For example, a couple of days ago I wanted to look through Dunbine tag and I got Failbooru from this tag for the rest of the day. Earlier today, I wanted to look up the artist Ayamoto and got Failbooru for about an hour (at the time of this writing I'm getting Failbooru again).

Maybe I'm speaking out of bounds, but things are really starting to repeat themselves in this thread and it seems unnecessary for every single member to chime in every 30 minutes. The problem is obviously persistent, site-wide, worsening, and occurring in some respect for all users, facts I believe we can acknowledge while we patiently await a solution. As it stands, the thread is just becoming a mess of redundant information. I'm sure albert will deal with it as soon as he can.

Looking at the database logs it looks like the related tag calculations are the worst part. I'm going to try backporting the sample-based related tag calculator from Danbooru2.

The only thing I am getting as failbooru is when I am trying to access my profile. It's just a mild inconvenience. I just reload the page a few times and it loads correctly. Other than that the website works just fine.

I think its different for everyone, I get failbooru when I'm using the bookmarklet, when I'm looking at my profile and when I'm changing tags in already uploaded posts.

That'd be good. Would just fixing this part also improve the reliability of user profiles?

I get failbooru ("the database has timed out") most often whenever I try to access my profile and my favourite tags and comments. I hope albert fixes it soon because I like the features my profile offers.
