Danbooru 2 Issues Topic

This is really starting to bother me, but on Chrome (Mac OSX) I seem to have lost the ability to drag-and-drop onto the "Choose File" button. And it only happens on Chrome AND only on Danbooru.

Before I open an issue on Github: has this affected anyone else?

It works normally for me on Windows Chrome at least.

Not sure if this is a known issue or not

W and S don't work for scrolling for me on post pages using Firefox while I have the option "Search for text when I start typing" enabled. (http://puu.sh/2nM2r)

Instead of realising there's a function that pressing those keys does (like typing into a text field), it pulls up the search box as if there isn't.
Also, Q, A, D, E, and N work fine on posts and listing. Only W and S on posts doesn't work while this option is on.

Just noticed something else odd with the comment system.

If there are no comments, it looks like that comically narrow box I showed in http://i.imgur.com/5B8Wv1o.png

But if there is a comment the box's width increases to a much more reasonable size. Seen here http://i.imgur.com/wZiaYKB.png

Both are default sizes so it just seems to be a rather odd quick

Also any idea when/if the old frontpage style's coming back... I kinda liked not looking at the first page of recent tags as well it can get a bit odd up there.

Edit: With changing number of possible images per page... Why can you set it to being comically low (1 image/page)

Updated

When one clicks on the words "view original" above resized images, it is not actually displaying the original. Instead it is resizing the lower resolution image, which becomes incredibly noticable with images that have been drastically resized.

Edit: Actually this may just be my slow connection. Was really misleading though. :/

Change log

  • Gold level members can now request a name change (accessible through your user settings). The change must be approved by an admin before it takes effect. A user's name history is visible on their profile to janitors.
  • The favorite limits have been adjusted to 10,000/20,000 down from 20,000/40,000. If you disagree strongly with this change dmail me.

God THANK you. I've been praying for this day. I'll be MagicalAsparagus from now on.

  • Artist related tags has been reworked.

On uploads from my Gold account, artist: and art: didn't work, even if I try them with this account (which did use art: and char: to effect). And unless it's been moved somewhere, I can't figure how to change them from the Tags page(s), so I'm a bit stuck. Tags in question are gavion and shadman.

Tag type changing is limited to Builder+ after issue #1019.

Quick poll: Does anyone else prefer the related tags to be ordered from most relevant to least relevant instead of alphabetically like they are now?

I personally found them far more useful when sorted by relevance, and I don't see what benefit alphabetical order has for them.

Dunno, dunno. I think everyone is just used to alphabetical order so it will be difficult to find the necessary tags, especially when you are checking yourself for typos in posts that have many tags.

I'm not sure I understand. How does alphabetical order in related tags help you check for typos? Wouldn't searching for related tags on a typo just return no results?

Oh. In RELATED tags. Sorry, I can't read again. Also, always wanted to ask, how does that even work? Last time I tried to find related characters it was laggy as hell and suggested something like hakurei_reimu for maria-sama_ga_miteru .

It returns the 25 tags that are used most often together with the tag you search for. I personally never use related Artists/Characters/Copyrights; they only seem marginally useful (and they're not even that unless they're sorted by relevance like I mentioned, or the irrelevant ones like your hakurei_reimu example will blend in with the more helpful ones).

But the general Related Tags feature is very useful for tagging efficiently. It's also much less laggy than the other ones.

Did you have scraps? You're not an artist. You're a bot, Kikimaru. Could you please draw Seena and more characters from Operation Ragnagard?

Stop making posts like these. They are completely off-topic and don't make the slightest bit of sense.

I deleted his post (it's still there to be undeleted if needed for whatever reason). I noted that after deleting his post, while it still displays here in the thread for those with moderating privileges (at least mod+) and it still counts towards the user's total forum count on their profile, it no longer appears on the list of forum posts when you look at what they've posted. Just for record keeping, it would probably be good to have some means of displaying a user's delete forum posts as well. Otherwise if someone posts a bunch of spam posts here and gets banned, there wouldn't be an easy way to just look over the posts that were deleted should the need arise (such as the user challenging the ban).
