This kind of has a Gurren-Lagann look to it, is it a parody?

Yeah, looks like it to me. I don't recognize the layout specifically though. Maybe a bigger TTGL fan/someone with a photographic memory can help out here.

Could be more along the lines of Gainax inspiration in general, but yeah, kind of gives off the feel of a Kamina, Simon, and Yoko picture to me.
