Heh... I don't think a lot of Westerners will get the full connection: Booette is being substituted for Syoko Hoshi.

Like Booette, she has a split personality (timid / aggressive) and tends to be happy-go-lucky when not interacting with someone.

Koume Shirasaka can see and interact with ghosts, plus is best friends with Syoko, so it all fits together.
