So the question is has Musashi herself grown her link to Wo to the point where she's able to hear Wo at a distance.

Still wondering how the Southern Ocean War Hime managed to become friends with them...

Musashi wasn't trusted by her own 46cm Guns??? Or WHAT is meant by her words in the last panel???

I assume the meaning is that her inexperience made either her or the higher-ups worry about her use of the highest caliber rifles.

... @Moonspeaker, I have to ask: Are you sure it's "trusted by" rather than, say, "trusted with"?

That does seem more grammatically feasible; it's just that the Japanese sentence structure doesn't appear to match any examples I can find of "trust X with Y", so I'd shied away from using that phrasing. If it were "I wasn't trusted with 46cm cannons", I'd have expected 46cmで rather than 46cmに.

Well, に can simply indicate that the preceding word/phrase is an indirect object, which is a broad, flexible category that simply entails being the recipient of the sentence's direct object.

If I were to reformulate Musashi's line from passive voice to active voice, it would probably be like this: "They did not trust me X (the) 46 cannons". "They" is obviously the subject, with "me" being the direct object; that leaves "46 cannons" as the indirect object. With this as our basis, AFAIK the only logical word to put in place of X that would make any amount of sense is "with".

Turns out that not only was my initial use of 'trusted by' correct, it apparently applied to her other guns too. Of course, this is the first indication I can recall seeing that the ship-girls' rigging has any will of its own (barring independent mecha like Rensouhou-kun/chan), as opposed to the obvious level of at least animal sentience for most of the Abyssals' rigging, so the uncertainty all around is understandable.

    .... Yes.
Wo-Class has a unique language, "Wokyuese". At first, even we Abyssals hear nothing more than "Wokyu" and have no idea what she's saying...
...but in associating with her, we gradually come to understand her.
Plus, if you grow a high level of mutual trust with her, she becomes able to convey even more information than words.
And when she's able to build a relationship of deep trust with someone, she can instantly communicate with them when she's in a crisis, no matter how far away they are.
However, she can only do this when she's built a relationship of deep mutual trust. Both her trust and the other person's have to be deeply built up.
It's tricky even for her fellow Abyssals, and yet I never would have thought she'd be able to do so with ship-girls!
That reminds me, your 46cm cannons were awesome, Musashi-san! Even the Abyssals were scared and retreated.
That was the first time I was able to fire them...
That's why I hadn't joined up with the fleet.
I see, your first bombardment. Amazing, all right...
    Huh!?
Up to now, I hadn't been able to do a bombardment as a ship-girl even once.
I could fire my standard cannons, but they were far less powerful compared to what those had for me as a ship-girl.
This is more Wo-class's thoughts coming across directly than becoming able to understand her words.
They were incredible when Nagato-san used them too. The power of 46cm cannons really is amazing!
I see! So you heard Wo-Class's voice!
I wasn't trusted by my ship guns and 46cm cannons.
