Have you read Kodoku no Mahou? Go do that. This one's definitely Zounose Weird, but not especially confusing imo if you've read the thing it's a direct sequel to.

Spoilers for this and Kodoku no Mahou:
After the events of Kodoku no Mahou, Hecatia becomes fascinated with the three magicians. Her three selves possess them, but then have a disagreement about what to do. Earth-body and Otherworld-body seal up the Moon to leave the rebelling body powerless and then start going hogwild on Gensokyo (apparently being some level of crazy at that point), the exact details of that being left relatively vague. After that, Moon-body starts this scheme to get the Moon unsealed, regain her power, and activate the same reset spell that was used in the first part. Dunno if wanting to see Moonless!Junko was actually a factor in the plan or just something she thought about now.
