This is actually a concept i've heard before. This dudeexplains it better than i can.

In a nutshell the idea behind it is that you never stop "being" even after you die, because the energy and matter that is contained in your body cannot disappear, only change form. Just like how it initially formed the universe and eventually formed you. It's pretty wholesome stuff.
