That's not the captain though. More of an Amuro Ray archetype, with a touch of Shinji. The talented up-and-coming ace keystone player of the team, who needs experience and some time to iron out her psychological issues before she can before a true powerhorse ... except she isn't the protagonist this time.

Granted, she's also 'Generation' Xerox and highly resembles the captain in both personality and appearance. Especially the latter's past self. Main difference is her hair, which is straight instead of wavy, plus she has bangs covering one of her eyes Mashu-style. Oh and different hair colors—hers is also like Mash's.

Though yeah, she's probably also the Grammy. Her hair style is the closest to the girl's.

I'd put my money on Freckles. She apparently was discharged after losing her arm (which means she has much better odds of survival to have kids), and the teasing personality of the granddaughter is more in line, even if the looks are not.

In Chapter 23 of the printed MBU manga, the Moodmaker, the former STRATINT operative, and the Young Ace are introduced as Agnes, Monica and Tyche respectively. Tyche is the grandmother; her granddaughter's name is Tina. The Ace and the Lieutenant may be named either Ella or Kirsche, but we don't know which is which yet.
