i blive the weapon haruhi is weilding is called a smart gun not a flamethrower

Isn't Haruhi's weapon a modified MG36, like the one used in Jin-Roh, The Wolf Brigade?

I always wandered why the smartgun had a suspension arm. Until I played the first AVP Pc game I realized that the big box in the chest was a computer and the arm serves to autotrack the gun towards the target. That's why it is called a "smart" gun...

Also because an MG42 weighs 25 pounds. It's kinda heavy to manuever around from the hip...

Speaking of which, am I the only one who really wanted to help Haruhi get strapped into that harness?
