Just to be clear, all of that was purposefully done to give the picture an ethereal and sinister atmosphere before it was 'replaced' when the account unlocked (silent darkness turned back to normal reality). Posts by the artist and replies poke fun at the fact that this instance must've been 'just a bad dream'.

No. The artist set their account to followers only immediately after posting this. Deleting this version before posting the nicer looking one was always their intention.
I feel like if she's ever forced to kill Marisa, Reimu will be depressed for like a month, then decide there's no point dwelling on it and go right back to her usual self. I just can't imagine anything sticking with her.
