An American stock car racing series, and the most popular motorsports series in the United States. NASCAR consists of three primary leagues (Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Truck Series), and also has international leagues in Canada, Mexico, Europe, and Brazil.
NASCAR is particularly known for their races around paved oval racetracks, but the league also features events on road courses, dirt ovals, and street courses. Chevrolet, Ford, and Toyota are the only currently participating manufacturers, with Dodge and Pontiac being notable former competitors.
The series' most prestigious event and season opener is the Daytona 500.
