Tag Discussion: cat_pose

Posted under General

dog_pose seems to be more for the "begging" stance (hands near chest and equal with one another), while cat_pose is for when the hands are on different levels, oftentimes with the higher hand located somewhere around the face.

I'm not sure if this discrepancy is enough to keep them separate, and I can see how an alias wouldn't really work, but I'm a little hesitant about not having cat_pose any more.

While the hands on different levels cat_pose is probably the more iconic one, it's not really most common one on the tag. There's just as many (probably more) where the hands are on an equal level or near it. dog_pose is similarly inconsistent and has multiple posts that'd probably be tagged as that sort of cat pose if they didn't involve dog ears. A generic tag makes much more sense I think.

Maybe a generic tag with a subtag implicated to it for the version LightningRamiel mentioned, if there's a demand for that.

+1 for a generic tag at least. paw_pose is a good name too.

cat_pose is going to completely overwhelm any dog_pose images so I'd rather let cat_pose stay as it is. Not sure there's enough dogs or other animals (not all of which necessarily have paws...) to warrant implicating another tag like that on all the cat_pose images.
