We do however delete the regular pixiv samples (""thumbnails""), manga samples are still samples generated by Pixiv. Other duplicates that go through the queue are in general not approved so the only difference here is that they were approved then unapproved (deleted) and nobody could have known they were uploading a sample.
I don't see manga samples as exactly the same as a small or medium sample. A small or medium sample is standardized and rather obvious that it's a sample, whereas a manga sample is often a serviceable image, though not the "correct" version. Basically, it's like a duplicate, and we don't delete existing duplicates unless if they're absolutely terrible.

It penalizes people for using the wrong source.
Context. Small and medium Pixiv images have been around for who knows how long, so of course people should feel the sting of a deletion if they upload them. Manga samples were introduced last week. Yes, we should no longer accept manga samples from this point forward, but I'm uneasy about yet another purge without double deletions to soften the blow.
Of course, there's nothing stopping jxh2154 from proving me wrong and giving Janitors the thumbs-up to purge the manga samples with no need of double deletions, but until then, I would rather we wait for confirmation before getting ahead of ourselves.
